Short-supply: A street vendor selling Malabar tamarind or cambodge (Garcinia cambogia) in Kochi, Kerala. The spice, a native of the Western Ghats, is used for its medicinal value as anti-obesity drug. Apart from this, it is used in Kerala for flavouring curries, especially fish. It is in short supply and hence, fetches a good price. –
