Security Marketing - New Products & Services New security tool from Aladdin
L.N. Revathy Coimbatore, Sept 9 Many people think an anti-virus software is enough protection but the Country Manager of Aladdin Knowledge Systems, Mr Shailendra Sahasrabudhe says such protection would be required at the gateway level, and not just at the desktop level. “A majority of system infections today are over the Net, not from a floppy diskette or CD. The protection therefore would have to be at the gateway,” Mr Sahasrabudhe reasoned. He pointed out that there are two basic kinds of threats at the gateway — one that come via mail such as spam or phishing mails and the other, over the Web due to adware and spyware. ““Aladdin has introduced an integrated and modular product — eSafe, which is scalable, secure and user-friendly. It blocks known and unknown threats and viruses. It is the most advanced anti-spam solution with 17 anti-spam methods,” he said. The company is targeting ISPs, managed service providers and enterprises
