Meet on Kakinada port tomorrow

Kakinada, Sept. 9

A meeting on Kakinada anchorage port will be held in Hyderabad on September 11 to discuss the problems and to improve the infrastructure at the port, according to Mr M.V. Ramana Rao, Minister for Ports. He said here on Sunday that the meeting was meant to dispel apprehensions among workers about cargo diversion to the new deepwater port, especially fertilisers. Mr Rao said the State was committed to developing both the ports simultaneously and there was no question of ignoring the old port. –
