Our Bureau

Bangalore, Sept. 10 Staffing solutions company TeamLease Services in partnership with Manipal Universal Learning has launched a two-month training programme aimed at the retail sector. The residential programme will initially run in Bangalore and tier-II towns in the State.

Candidates for the programme are sourced and assessed by TeamLease who are later moved to Bangalore for residential training. The programme costs Rs 13,000 and minimum qualification required is higher secondary.

The programme is specifically designed for front-end sales related job profiles, said Mr Rajesh A.R., Vice-President, TeamLease Services. He also said that candidates would be assured of a placement on completion of the course. “If the eligible candidate does not get a job, the amount collected as fees would be refunded by TeamLease,” he said.

Demand for frontline sales talent in the retail industry is about 2.1 lakh customer associates. “The objective of this training programme is to bridge the gap between skilled and semi-skilled manpower and the huge demand in the retail sector.”
