‘Managing a nation is much more than managing a co’

The Union Minister of State for Industry, Mr Ashwani Kumar, has said that managing the diversity of India, a nation of more than a billion people, is a real challenge for management professionals.

“Managing a nation is much more than managing a company.”

Speaking at the valedictory session of the three-day National Management Convention, organised by the All India Management Association and Asian Association of Management Organisations, the Minister said “collectively, we have to devise ways of meeting the immense challenges ahead”.

According to Dr J.J.Irani, President of AAMO, the greatest challenge before the management professionals today was the critical issue of “inclusive and all round growth”.
