mChek achieves PCI-DSS standard

Mumbai-based mChek is India’s first m-commerce firm to achieve the Payment Card Industry’s Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS) 1.1— a global standard aimed at stamping out debit and credit card fraud. As with any electronic payment service, data security is a crucial requirement of such a service. The PCI DSS standard represents the best practices defined by Visa International, American Express, Discover Financial Services, JCB and MasterCard Worldwide cove ring requirements for security management, policies, procedures, network architecture, software design and other critical protective measures. The mChek/Payment service enables consumers to shop with their mobile phones in a convenient and safe manner, either across the counter or with remote merchants.
