Robert Bosch to adopt PTC's tool

Bangalore, Sept. 11

Robert Bosch plans to deploy PTC's Windchill PDMLink at numerous business units to improve its product development processes. The new platform reduces the number of system configurations and harmonises data management at different business units. The single platform enables the reuse of data within the business units and improves collaboration as more and more product information with increasing complexity has to be managed globally. The decision to implement the PTC Product Development System was also driven by Bosch's strategic requirement for a global Web-based IT architecture. Adopting Windchill PDMLink offers Bosch Group capabilities such as heterogeneous CAD data management, change management, configuration management, and significantly improved performance across a Wide Area Network. -Our Bureau
