Zmanda unveils 2 open source products

Pune Sept. 13 Zmanda, provider of open source backup and data protection software, has launched two open source products, backup solutions for Microsoft Windows and management console for MySQL Backup. Mr Chander Kant, Chief Executive Officer, told presspersons that these products have been primarily designed and developed at its India development centre in Pune.

These products are enhancements to its flagship product lines of Amanda Network Backup and Zmanda Recovery Manager for MySQL.

Zmanda has launched its first enterprise class open format backup solution for Microsoft Windows. It provides a secure and cost-effective solution for backing up a network comprising Linux, Solaris and Windows-based systems.
