New Products & Services Variety - Fashion Web Extras - Radio/TV Fashion TV launches First Face initiative Our Bureau Hyderabad, Sept. 13 FTV’s F-Bar & Lounge has announced the launch of First Face, an initiative that builds on its channel concept to serve as a platform to nurture upcoming talent. The contest will have Fashion TV cameras pan the lounge to capture trendy and fashionable faces at F-bar & Lounge every Thursday of the week. SelectionEach week, three participants will be selected as the First Face of the week winner and two as runners-up. At the end of four weeks of selection, 12 chosen participants will vie for the face of the month. These contestants will later be groomed and provided style tips to participate in the finale of the First Face contest. The COO of FTV India, Mr Bharat Sheth, told Business Line that this was part of Fashion TV’s initiative to create a platform to identify talent through these lounges.
“The winner of the First Face contest will win free makeover, F Bar & Lounge privilege card, giveaways from Tommy Hilfiger and Sheiseido and get international exposure with Fashion TV. They may even land up modelling assignments with Elite Model Management,” he added. Mr Sheth also said that FTV was now available across 200 countries and commands over 300 million viewers. The focus is on expanding FTV presence in India. “Apart from Hyderabad Bar & Lounge and Bangalore Spa and Fiteness centre, we plan to launch F-Café & Lounge in Delhi and Gurgaon by the end of the year and another one by the month-end. We continue to grow through the franchisee route while supporting these bars & lounges through promotional initiatives.” New York-based Elite Model Management is the grooming partner and designers such as Monapali will bring in their individual expertise to achieve this goal of nurturing talent over a period of one year. These winners would get a chance to participate in an exclusive fashion show along with established models for designers. More Stories on : New Products & Services | Fashion | Radio/TV
