Hindi Fortnight at PNB

Thiruvananthapuram, Sept. 16

The regional office of Punjab National Bank here celebrated a ‘Hindi Fortnight’ from September 1 to 14. The fortnight saw many competitions such as essay writing, a banking technology ‘antakshari’, elocution, poetry recitation and ‘raj bhasha’ quiz being held. Staff members from branches in Thiruvananthapuram city participated. The valedictory function was held recently at Samskrithi Bhavan on the GPO Lane. Mr T. S. Panicker, Senior Regi onal Manager, presided over the function and Mr D. Krishan Panicker, former deputy director, Regional Implementation Office, Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, was the chief guest. –
