Hyderabad, Sept. 18

Eyeing a 25 per cent market share in the Rs 350-crore RO-based (reverse osmosis) water purifiers market in the first year, Whirlpool of India will launch the products in all States by the year-end. At present, the products are being test marketed in Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh. Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, Mr Tamal Kanti Saha, Vice-President (Sales), said the company would cash in on the extensive retail network it developed over a period of time. “O ur products are being sold in 11,000 outlets across the country. We have an edge over our competitors,” he said. The water purifiers, being sold under the brand name ‘Purafresh’, are available in the range of Rs 13,500 to Rs 21,500.
