Mumbai, Sept. 18 Reliance Communications-owned FLAG Telecom said it had signed a five-year contract with Vanco, a UK-based virtual network operator. The two companies will share their networks, said an official from RCom, without revealing the revenue sharing details of the tie-up. FLAG, which has an international telecom cable network, will be able to enhance its Virtual Private Network across areas where it is currently not present, said a company statement. “This agreement provid es FLAG and its customers access to further 81 countries allowing us to extend our network to over 100 countries across the globe,” said Mr Punit Garg, President, FLAG Telecom. Mr Allen Timpany, Chief Executive of Vanco, said: “There is a great deal of synergy in our businesses. Vanco is fast becoming the definitive partner for Asset Based Carriers like FLAG Telecom, who are looking to extend their physical networks and offer their customers global solutions.
