Alappuzha ‘Kadalpalam’ (Pier) is in a state of neglect today. The pier was once used for transporting cargoes to the ships anchored in the outer seas. The remnants of the pier remind visitors of the glorious past of Alappuzha, which was known as the Venice of the East.
