Mergers & Acquisitions Government - Policy 13-member NACIL Board constituted Our Bureau New Delhi, Sept. 18 The Government on Tuesday announced the composition of the Board of the National Aviation Company of India Ltd (NACIL), the new company into which Air India and Indian have been merged. The 13-member board would be headed by the current Chairman and Managing Director, Air India, Mr V. Thulasidas, who would be the Chairman and Managing Director, NACIL, while the current Chairman and Managing Director, Indian, Mr V. Trivedi, would be the Joint Managing Director. Mr Anup Srivastava, the current Director (Personnel), Indian; Mr S. Chandrashekhar Director (Finance), Indian; and Mr V.K. Verma, currently Director (Commercial), Air India, have been appointed to the same positions in NACIL. In addition, Mr Punhani, who was Director (Finance) in Air India, has been made Strategic Business Unit head of the entity looking after ground handling, while Mr K.M. Unni who was Director (Engineering) with Air India has been made the strategic business unit head for Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul facility looking after airframes. The Chairman, ICICI, Mr N. Vaghul, has been made a non-official board member, while the Additional Secretary and Financial Advisor, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Mr Raghu Menon, and Joint Secretary, in the Ministry, Mr R.K.
