KEC bags deal in Afghanistan

Coimbatore, Sept.19

KEC International Ltd has bagged a major Asian Development Bank funded contract from Afghanistan's Ministry of Energy & Water through an international competitive bidding process which will be completed in 18 months. It will be executed in two lots in the North and Eastern regions of Afghanistan and with this, the total value of orders in Afghanistan is over Rs 500 crore. In Rajasthan, it has been awarded a Rs 91.50 crore contract by Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Ltd for supply and construction of 400 kV double circuit transmission line on a turnkey basis. -Our Bureau
