Oracle Database 11g unveiled here

Mumbai, Sept. 19

Global database software major Oracle on Wednesday announced the launch of its Oracle Database 11g in India. It is the most innovative and highest quality software product Oracle has ever announced, said Mr Satinder Grover, Vice-President for Technology Sales, Oracle India. Oracle’s Partner Network companies enabled to implement this database for India customers include HCL Technologies Ltd, Infosys Technologies Ltd, TCS and Wipro Ltd. “Organisations that manag e high volumes of data require self-managing databases which can be upgraded with minimal disruption. Financial services, communications and government organisations in India which have to surmount a large number of security and compliance issues, will benefit immensely from the new features and functionality of Oracle Database 11g,” said Mr Grover. The Oracle Database 11g was launched worldwide in July and was made available on Linux operating systems from August 15. —
