MoU for research in dementia
Kochi, Sept. 19
Alzheimer's and Related Disorders Society of India
(ARDSI), the national organisation dedicated to
the care, support and research of dementia, has
signed an MoU with Canada-based Inter-Ed Faculty
of Clinical Research (IFCR)-India to undertake
clinical trials and other relevant research projects in
India. The collaborative research will focus on
Alzheimer's and other dementia. Mr Anil Joseph,
CEO and MD of IFCR India, said that an R&D facility
will be set up at the IFCR campus in Kochi for the
research work on September 21, World Alzheimer's
Day. It is estimated that around 3 million people in
India suffer from dementia and the figure is expected
to double by 2025, he said. - Our Bureau
