New Delhi, Sept. 21

Mr R.K. Goel, Director (Finance), GAIL (India) Ltd, will be the new Chairman of Ratnagiri Gas & Power Private Ltd (RGPPL). According to a press release, Mr Goel will hold additional charge as Chairman of RGPPL, which is a company promoted by GAIL and NTPC for reviving, and operating power plant and LNG Terminal at Dabhol, earlier owned by erstwhile Dabhol Power Company.

A decision to this effect was taken at the 33rd meeting of the Board of RGPPL held on Friday. Mr Goel is also the Chairman of GAIL Global (Singapore) Pte Ltd — a fully owned subsidiary of GAIL and Director on the Boards of China Gas Holding Ltd, Mahanagar Gas Ltd and Brahamputra Cracker & Polymer Ltd.
