Sun TV group’s special offer for DTH

Our Bureau

Chennai, Sept. 21 Following the launch of Insat-4CR early this month, the Sun TV group today announced the opening of advance booking for its Direct-to-home services, Sun Direct.

Strategically priced at Rs 75 per month, it comes with a special ‘free dish and box’ offer, which closes on October 31.

It also offers 2-month free subscription for those who book before September 30.

To start with, Sun Direct will beam 75 TV channels and 15 radio channels, with a promise to bring 150 more TV channels on board soon.

The company has also signed a pact with Irdeto, a content security software provider, under which Sun Direct will use Irdeto’s conditional access system to manage content and revenues in the satellite broadcasting venture.

Sun has placed an initial order for 5 lakh Irdeto smart cards.
