The Mumbai-based Encore Hotels has set its eyes on the Gulf and Western markets. The company, which opened its Rajdhani format of restaurants in Sydney and Vietnam, will start an outlet in Dubai soon. “We are getting enquiries from the US, UK and other parts of the Gulf,” Mr Kamlesh Barot, Director, said.

Addressing a press conference here on Friday, he said the group would set up 17 more hotels in the next two-three years in States such asGoa, Karnataka, Kerala, Rajasthan, and Andhra Pradesh.

Each hotel, with 50-60 rooms, will cost Rs 15-20 crore without the land cost. The company is also looking at acquiring and managing some existing hotels. The company owns a network of restaurants, ‘snacklets’, and catering units.

Encore Hotels is looking at expanding the number of outlets from 39 to 50 by the year end and to 100 the following year. Mr Barot was here in connection with the launch of Rajdhani restaurant.
