MRPL pays dividend to HPCL

Mangalore, Sept. 24

Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL) on Monday paid a dividend of Rs 23.77 crore for the financial year 2006-07, to Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL). HPCL holds 16.95 per cent stake in MRPL. A press release by MRPL said here that the dividend cheque was handed over by Mr L.K. Gupta, Director (Finance) of MRPL, to Mr Arun Balakrishnan, Chairman and Managing Director of HPCL, in Mumbai. In the last three years, HPCL has earned a total of Rs 74.29 crore as dividend from MRPL against their equity holding of 297,153,518 shares, the release added. - Our Bureau
