Plan to boost auto component SMEs productivity

New Delhi, Sept 25 United Nations Industrial Development Corporation (UNIDO) and the Government of India plans to develop training packages for automotive component manufacturing companies to enable them to build expertise in productivity and quality.

In an assessment by PricewaterhouseCoopers, statement on assessment of small and medium size component industry over the last eight years since the programme was initiated by UNIDO, half of the enterprises that participated in the programme recorded growth rates above the industry rate of 62 per cent.

The programme is aimed at strengthening the SME automobile component suppliers and enhance productivity and overall performance chains.
