Events States - Kerala Trade and tech biz show begins today in Kochi Our Bureau Kochi, Sept. 26 As many as 150 domestic and 50 international buyers will participate in the three-day Trade and Technology Business Show to be held here at Hotel Le Meridian from Thursday. The Governor, Mr R.L. Bhatia, will inaugurate the show and the State Industries Minister, Mr Ealamaram Kareem, will give the presidential address. The keynote address will be made by Mr S. Sharma, Fisheries Minister. A total of seven sectors of Kerala’s industry will be showcased at the show this year. These include food and agro processing, ayurveda and herbal, coir, handlooms, handicrafts, bamboo and screw pine, among others. The meet is organised by the Industries Department in association with the Kerala Bureau of Industrial Promotion, Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation and Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation. Also participating in the event will be 50 domestic exhibitors and 25 international exhibitors including machinery manufacturers, technology providers and research institutes. The international buyers participating are from 14 countries including Thailand, Russia, Israel, the UK, Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, South Africa and Europe. The business show will highlight the industrial agility and knowledge-based skills of the State to the rest of the country and the international trading community. More Stories on : Events | Kerala
