BA World Cargo hikes fuel surcharge

New Delhi, Sept 27 British Airways World Cargo on Thursday announced that it would increase the fuel surcharge to £44 per kg from October 11 this year. Currently, it charges £40 as a fuel surcharge.

In a statement, the airline has said that the fuel surcharge increase follows a second consecutive week that the fuel index has been above the level 13 threshold.

The airlines fuel index is based on the average price of aviation fuel in four key spot markets including North West Europe, Singapore, Los Angeles and the US-Gulf.
