IIL completes Phase I expansion
New Delhi, Sept. 27
Insecticides (India) Ltd (IIL), which recently raised Rs 36.91 crore through an initial public offer, has said that it has commissioned its Greenfield pesticide synthesis plant in Chopanki, Rajasthan. "The company had raised funds from the IPO to set up the new plant for backward integration and to build research and development capabilities. The first phase of expansion entailed setting up of pesticide synthesis plant and expansion in capacity at its production facility in Samba, Jammu & Kashmir. Both the plants have been commissioned and have started commercial production," a release from the company said. The expansion at Samba plant would take the company's overall production capacity to 7,000 tonnes in granules, 1,000 tonnes in powders and 10 lakh litres in liquid formulations. - Our Bureau
