SKS launches operations in Gujarat

Hyderabad, Sept. 27

SKS Microfinance Private Ltd has launched its operations in Gujarat by starting activity in Dahod district, which is among the 200 poor districts in the country. “We will also expand to Banaskantha, Dang, Narmada, Panch Mahal and Sabar Kantha districts soon,” Mr Vikram Akula, Chief Executive Officer, said here in a press release. The company, which has presence in 13 States covering 10 lakh poor households, disbursed over Rs 1,200 crore loans so far. “We plan to reach out to 50 lakh poor families by 2010,” he said. –
