Mr B. Muthuraman, Managing Director of Tata Steel, has been conferred the “CEO of the Year” Award by Asia Brand Summit. Organised by the Asia Brand Congress, the award was conferred upon Mr Muthuraman for his “indomitable leadership, courage, foresight and his successful strategies that have brought about a positive change in not just the company and the industry, but also (to have) ushered in great optimism in the Indian industrial sector as a whole̶ 1;. According to a press release, Mr Muthuaman was chosen for the award for being “instrumental in giving India its biggest overseas acquisition till date, making it a proud moment for not just the steel sector but Indian industry”. —
