Intas Pharma wins excellence award

Ahmedabad, Sept. 28

The Ahmedabad-based pharma major Intas Pharmaceuticals Ltd has won the Animal Pharm Global Excellence Award for corporate social responsibility (CSR). Animal Pharm, a publication on World Animal Health and Nutrition, had instituted these awards to celebrate innovation and reward excellence in the animal healthcare sector. The Animal Pharm Industry Excellence Awards are the mark of global distinction at the highest level of professional acknowledgement within the animal health industries, the company said in a release here. The awards were presented to the company representatives at London on September 25, 2007, wherein more than 100 top animal healthcare companies were represented, including competitors like Janssen Animal Health, Pfizer, Genitrix, Eurovet, Heska, and Merial. Intas' CSR is primarily aimed at giving the organisation the opportunity to make a difference beyond the core business. Intas received an outstanding review for developmental works like such as The Neomec Project Shiksha scholarships for students and Polivet Journal for Veterinarians. - Our Bureau
