Human Resources Union Bank promotions Mumbai, Sept. 27 Union Bank of India has decided to speed up promotions for officials in the executive cadre. This would ensure that executives at a senior level have sufficient tenure with the bank, said a press release from the bank. The fast track promotion process has been approved for posts up to the rank of assistant general manager (in scale V). Currently, a newly-recruited officer would take at least 20 years before he is promoted to the rank of assistant general manager. Under the new fast track promotion process, a candidate with all the required qualifications can reach this rank in just 11 years. This would give such officials sufficient residual tenure to implement long-term projects of the bank, said the press release. It would also take care of the problem of posts becoming vacant due to retirement of senior officials.– Our Bureau More Stories on : Human Resources | Public Sector Banks
