Natural habitat: Deer roaming at the edge of the Tadoba Lake at the Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve. The Reserve is a pristine and unique eco-system situated in the Chandrapur district of Maharashtra. It contains some of the best forest tracks and is endowed with rich biodiversity. It is famous for its natural heritage. The Indian Board of Wild Life (IBWL), established in 1952, has been doing pioneering work in raising public consciousness on wildlife preservation. Every year, the IBWL observes the Wildlife Week from October 2 - 8. —
