Bengal Line to support Project Tiger

Efforts on to save the endangered species.

For more than 20 years, Bengal Tiger Line, a feeder operator in the Bay of Bengal, has been using the Royal Bengal Tiger as a corporate mascot. Now the management realises that, in addition to offering shipping services, there is also a need for doing something for the preservation of the dwindling population of tigers in India, particularly the Royal Bengal Tiger. Accordingly, the shipping line has decided to support Project Tiger in West Bengal, hoping that the effort will help save the endangered species. The programme is being officially launched in Kolkata — the home of Royal Bengal Tiger.
