A recent industry survey on the level of compliance programme implementation revealed that the Indian average at 18 per cent was much lower than the APAC average of 42 per cent and lagged Japan and Singapore at 56 and 52 per cent respectively. “With more than 68 per cent of companies agreeing to implement compliance initiatives as they see business benefits, there is an uptake in the awareness level,” he said.
