Kutztown varsity opens office in Chennai

Our Bureau

Chennai, Oct. 1Kutztown University, Pennsylvania, opened its first admissions office in Chennai on Friday last.

According to the University’s Vice-President (Academic Affairs), Mr Carlos Vargas-Aburto, the office will assist students seeking to obtain an undergraduate or graduate degree through Kutztown University.

The Chennai office, the university’s first in India, will facilitate direct access for students and parents seeking information and admission advice. It will also provide access to the university’s curriculum, enable submission of admission forms and verification of documents in person.

Besides, it will provide online links to students for direct registration through its Web site.

Mr Vargas-Aburto said that as Kutztown University is a member of Pennsylvania’s State System of Higher Education, it would cost a student “significantly less” than other private schools. “An annual full-time course (2007-2008) would cost a student $13,372 including tuition fee, room and boarding,” he said.
