BL Research Bureau 3i Infotech has been able to increase its presence in Government-initiated projects, going by the large-scale deals that it has managed to win recently. Citizen Service3i Infotech has won the Haryana Government project for the establishment of e-Disha Ekal Seva Kendra Project. As a part of the project, the company will set up over 322 citizen service centres that are expected to serve as a single window service delivery channel for a wide range of Government to citizen services. These include services such as issue of land record certificates, issuance of ration cards, pension schemes, public grievance redress and payment of telephone and electricity bills among other services. This deal follows a similar one 3i had won with the Goa Government that entails the setting up of 208 citizen service centres by the company. Franchisee3i Infotech will provide the IT infrastructure and a Web interface to enable these services. The centres will be operated on a franchisee basis. The nature and scale of these projects mean that 3i Infotech may be expected to generate a constant revenue stream over a multi-year period. This will also enable it to pick up strong domain expertise in various facets of Government to citizen services which could be replicated elsewhere. Any scaling up of operations in these service centers may provide 3i with additional revenues. e-governanceSuccessful implementation of these projects may mean that 3i Infotech would be well placed to tap any future Government (State/Central) spend on e-governance initiatives.
