SAIL gets dividend from NSPCL

New Delhi, Oct. 3

NTPC-SAIL Power Supply Company Ltd (NSPCL), a 50:50 joint venture between Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) and National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), on Wednesday paid Rs 3 crore to SAIL as the final dividend for the financial year 2006-07. A release from SAIL said that NSPCL is currently implementing a Greenfield project for setting up two 250 MW power plants at a cost of around Rs 3,000 crore at Bhilai. The first unit is expected to be operational by early 2008. & #8220;SAIL will receive about 280 MW from the unit which will enhance the level of power requirement of Bhilai Steel Plant,” the release added. —
