CanBank `Krishi Mitra Cards'

Thiruvananthapuram, Oct. 3

The Circle Office of Canara Bank here organised a meet of beneficiaries to distribute loans under `Krishi Mitra Card,' a new scheme for landless individual farmers and tenant farmers. Mr D.L. Rawal, Executive Director, Canara Bank, inaugurated the programme organised here on Tuesday under the auspices of the Mahila Banking Branch, Pattom. The meeting saw 150 Krishi Mitra Cards, involving an amount of Rs 35 lakh, being given away to meet the requirements of a select group of beneficiaries for cultivation, and repair and maintenance of farm equipment. - Our Bureau
