The Commission had already announced that the recruitment would be conducted in accordance with a new syllabus with a focus on general studies, eliminating optional subjects unlike earlier. “As the examination will be conducted in a new pattern with new syllabus for the first time, the Commission will also release some model papers in a couple of weeks,” the Chairman said. NotificationOn the likely date of notification, Mr Reddy said it would take some time. “As per the break-up of vacant posts sent to us by the Government, we have written to all concerned departments to confirm the vacancies and roaster points. The issue of notification depends on their reply,” he pointed out. Of the total posts, 147 are under Group I and 1,375 under Group II while 3,439 are under special posts in both categories.
