Barclays Bank to open four more branches

Mumbai, Oct. 8 Barclays Bank will open four more branches this fiscal, in addition to the six it already has. The bank, which started retail operations in May this year, also plans to offer co-branded credit targets targeted at specific sectors like fuel and hotels, where customers spends are high, said Mr Kausal Roy, Head of Cards - India, Barclays Bank. Currently the bank has about 1,50,000 credit card customers.

Barclays Bank has launched a co-branded card with the travel portal Yatra.com, called yatra. Using the card will fetch the consumer rewards points when used to book tickets on any airlineand to make reservations in any hotel in India and abroad, said Mr Dhruv Shringi, CEO and Co founder, Yatra Online Services Ltd. Customers can also earn points when they use the card for spends not related to travel, he said.
