Healthcare for IT

This refers to the report on the proposal of the Health Minister, Mr A. Ramadoss, to introduce a healthcare policy for the IT/BPO industry is a good step in the right direction.

There is no second thought that IT/BPO industry in India is bringing in oodles of money.

At the same time, health-related problems of the employees in the industry cannot be neglected. They are facing major problems such as stress and sleeplessness, with the resultant physical symptoms.

One expects the new policy will add weight and substance to existing health-related HR policies.
