RBI & Other Central Banks RBI essay contest for schools Chennai, Oct. 9 The Reserve Bank of India's regional office here has taken a novel route to promote the concept of financial inclusion among the very young. The RBI is organising an essay competition for school children in three categories - Junior level (Std. 6 to Std.8), Middle level (Std. 9 and 10) and Senior level (Std 11 and 12). The topic for the junior level is "What a bank means to me", for the middle level - "If I were a bank manager", and for the senior level it is "Economic Development of the Nation - Role of Banks". The essay competition is being held both in Tamil and English. The last date for receiving entries from schools is October 31. Cash prizes of Rs 10,000, Rs 7,500 and Rs 5,000 will be awarded for the first, second and third places in each category and language. -- Our Bureau
