Panacea, Punjab varsity in pact

New Delhi: Panacea Biotec will be developing a new chemical entity with Punjab University. The vaccine maker has entered into an agreement with the university for a drug discovery project. Under the agreement, the company’s drug discovery R&D centre, Laksh, at Mohali, Punjab will collaborate with the university to identify lead molecules in the therapeutic area of psychiatric disorders. Panacea will undertake the pre-clinical and clinical developments of the molecules, and launch the product worldwide. — Our Bureau
