Security Competition on digital security Coimbatore, Oct. 12 RSA has announced an educational Crypto Combat Challenge. The challenge is open to college students and freshers, particularly those with a flair for cryptography and digital security. Those interested in participating in this challenge would have to register by sending an email to cryptocombat@rsa.com. This challenge will give participants an encryption algorithm. The student would have to write an attack programme in C, C++ or Java to decipher the messages encrypted by this algorithm and submit the program by October 26. The program would be judged on its strength (the less the cipher text, the better), innovation (unique approach), design and programming and the winner would be announced on November 9. “We are keen to promote young talent, give them an opportunity to excel. This challenge would give the participants an opportunity to work with some top professionals at the RSA Development Centre in Bangalore,” Mr Niranjan Maka, Director, RSA (India Development Centre) said.
