Howrah-Delhi puja special

The Additional Divisional Railway Manager, Eastern Railway, Howrah, flagged off the Howrah-Delhi superfast bi-weekly puja special train (0231 Up), called the “Howrah-Delhi Dollar Express”, at Howrah Station on Saturday, says a press release. A total of 22 puja special trains will run between Howrah and Delhi till November 19. The Dollar Express – this is the first train with such a name – will stop at Asansol, Dhanbad, Koderma, Gaya, Sasaram, Mughal sarai, Vindhachal, Allahabad, Kanpur and Delhi on both runs. The Railway is running a total of 108 puja specials this year, adds the release. Eastern Railway has also succeeded in carrying a total of 455.4 million passengers during the period April to September, 2007 against 430.3 million carried during the corresponding period of 2006. —
