Our Bureau

New Delhi, Oct. 14Attrition rate in the hospitality industry is set to double to nearly 50 per cent from the current 25 per cent, with rapid expansion taking place in the sector for the Commonwealth Games (CWG) 2010, as also accelerating diversification in West Asia and Europe, fuelling huge demand for trained and skilled personal in large numbers in the next three years, according to Assocham.

In a paper brought out by the Chamber, it has been estimated that CWG 2010 alone will create job opportunities for nearly 50,000 skilled professionals as 70 hotels are likely to be commissioned in the next three years, and assuming that each hotel will need about 600 regular workforce.
