SAMKRG Pistons Q2 net down

Hyderabad, Oct 16

SAMKRG Pistons and Rings Ltd’s net profit decreased 39 per cent to Rs 2.5 crore in the quarter ended September 30, 2007 as against Rs 4 crore in the same quarter of previous fiscal. The net profit came down on account of over 100 per cent increase in interest expenditure to Rs 0.75 crore. Total income grew marginally to Rs 272.1 crore from Rs 267.7 crore in the second quarter of last financial year. The earnings per share decreased to 7.90 from 13.21 in the comparabl e period last year, according to a release.
