Packaging Essel Propack Q3 net flat at Rs 10.5 cr Our Bureau Mumbai, Oct 17: Essel Propack Ltd announced a marginal increase of 3.96 per cent in its net profit for the quarter ended September 30 at Rs 10.5 crore compared to Rs 10.1 crore of the corresponding quarter last year. The net sales of the company increased by 10 per cent to Rs 82.2 crore compared to Rs 74.4 crore of the same period last year. The total income rose by 7.5 per cent to Rs 82.3 crore compared to Rs 76.5 crore of the same period last year. The consolidated net profit of the company decreased 54 per cent to Rs 12 crore compared to Rs 26.7 crore of the corresponding quarter last year. Total consolidated income rose 13.6 per cent to Rs 318.6 crore compared to Rs 280.4 crore in the same period last year. The sales and PAT were adversely impacted due to rupee appreciation, said a company release. The operating margin was also impacted by steep escalation in raw material cost and increased cost of ramping up of new facilities at US and Poland, the release added. The shares of the company closed at BSE at Rs 58, down 1.69 per cent from the previous day’s close of Rs 59. More Stories on : Packaging
