New Manager for LIC, Karnataka

Bangalore, Oct. 18

The Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) has posted Mr T C Suseel Kumar as Regional Manager (Marketing) in charge of the Karnataka Region. Mr Kumar headed LIC's operations in Mauritius prior to taking over the current assignment. His assignment comes at a time when Karnataka is witnessing intense competition for life insurance business particularly for group retirement policies and unit-linked covers. Almost the entire private sector has been hard-selling unit linked products in the region and some have pitched with the State government for managing the defined contribution scheme. - Our Bureau
