TMB opens Arakonam branch

Madurai, Oct. 18

The Tuticorin-based Tamilnad Mercantile Bank (TMB) has opened its 192nd branch at Arakonam in Vellore district. Mr Dharmendra Pratap Yadav, District Collector, inaugurated the fully computerised branch with ATM and locker facility. The Managing Director and CEO of the bank, Mr G. Narayana Moorthy, speaking on the occasion, said that the bank had a number of schemes for the development of deprived people. The priority sector loans outstanding stood high at 48.64 per cent ag ainst the stipulated norm of 40 per cent and the bank had a number schemes to benefit those sections such a TMB Janatha Savings Bank, Kisan Credit Cards, General Credit Cards and so on, he added.
