Noida Toll Q2 net up at Rs 8.1 cr on higher traffic

Our Bureau

New Delhi, Oct. 19 Noida Toll Bridge Company Ltd (NTBCL) has seen its net profit soar by four times year-on-year, touching Rs 8.18 crore for the quarter ended September 30, driven by increase in traffic, higher toll revenues, and reduction in finance charges. Profit for the same quarter the previous fiscal was Rs 2.14 crore

NTBCL is the concessionaire (operator) for Delhi-Noida toll bridge and it earns revenues through toll charges collected from vehicle users that ply the bridge.

The increase in profit can be largely attributed to higher income from operations, reduction in finance charges, and adjustment of depreciation through revaluation reserve, said a company statement.

The average daily traffic (ADT) for the quarter was 82,179 vehicles as compared to 67,938 vehicles in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year, showing a steady increase of approximately 21 per cent.

The company registered net sales of Rs 17.18 crore in the quarter against Rs 11.52 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
