Uttam Galva profit higher at Rs 30.55 cr

Mumbai, Oct 19 Uttam Galva Steels Ltd has reported a net profit of Rs 30.55 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2007, compared to Rs 27.55 crore for the corresponding quarter ended September 30, 2006.

Net sales stood at Rs 870.59 crore, against Rs 656.83 crore logged in the corresponding quarter ended September 30, 2006.

Net sales for the half-year ended September 30, 2007 stood at Rs 1,592.57 crore, compared to Rs 1,206.64 crore of the corresponding half year ended September 30, 2006.

Mr Ankit Miglani Director-Commercial, Uttam Galva Steels Ltd said: “We have maintained a continual growth pattern in line with the market scenario. Our expansion plans are almost complete and additional capacities will be online in the second half of the year.”
